Spicy Beef Kebabs Recipe - How to Make Spicy Beef Kebabs

Ingredients


1 1/2 to 2 pounds boneless beef sirloin
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/3 cup red wine vinegar
1/2 cup olive oil
Special equipment: 4 (12-inch) metal skewers

Directions

Cut the beef into 1 1/2 to 1 3/4-inch cubes and place into a large mixing bowl. Set aside.

In the bowl of a food processor combine the garlic, paprika, turmeric, cumin, salt, pepper and red wine vinegar. With the processor running drizzle in the olive oil.

Pour the marinade over the meat and toss to coat. Place in the refrigerator in an airtight container or a sealable plastic bag and allow to marinate for 2 to 4 hours.

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Thread the meat onto the skewers leaving about 1/2-inch in between the pieces of meat. Place on the grill and cook, with lid lowered, 2 to 3 minutes per side, 8 to 12 minutes in all (8 minutes for rare and 12 for medium). Remove from the heat to aluminum foil, wrap and allow to rest for 2 to 3 minutes prior to serving.

Ingredients


1/2 large white onion, roughly chopped
2 cloves garlic, smashed
1/2 small bunch fresh parsley
1 pound ground beef
1 small tomato, diced finely
1/4 teaspoon garam masala
1/4 cup toasted pine nuts
2 tablespoons lemon juice
Kosher salt
4 pieces pita (whole wheat or regular), cut into quarters
Extra-virgin olive oil, for brushing

Directions

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

In a food processor, combine the onions, garlic, and parsley until finely minced. Remove to a large bowl and add in the beef, tomato, garam masala, pine nuts, and lemon juice. Season with salt. Mix with your hands until well combined.

Arrange the pita quarters on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Fill each quarter with about 2 tablespoons of the meat mixture, flattening it out so the filling is even. Brush each quarter on both sides with a little olive oil. Sprinkle salt on top.

Bake for 20 minutes, turning once halfway through. Pitas should be browned and crispy.

Veal with Paprika Recipe

Ingredients

� kg veal meat
salt and pepper
4 Tbsps flour
� cup paprika
2 Tbsps vegetable oil
2 Tbsp butter
2 cups onion, chopped
4 Tbsps tomato paste
4 cups chicken or beef stock
2 Tbsps whipping cream or sour cream

Method

- Wash and dry the meat then cut it into thin strips and season with salt and pepper.
- Mix half the paprika with the flour.
- In a large bowl combine the veal strips with the flour and paprika mixture, shake off excess flour.
- In a skillet heat the oil over medium heat, then add the butter*.
- Brown beef strips for 7 minutes, add the onions and stir for another 5 minutes.
- Add the rest of the paprika to the meat stirring frequently until it is cooked half way.
- Blend the tomato paste into the stock. Add the stock to the meat, bring to a boil then reduce heat. Cover and simmer until meat is fully cooked and the sauce is thickened.
- Garnish with cream. Serve hot with pasta or boiled potatoes.

*Butter should be added to medium heated oil.
